Documentation: V6 upgraded toolchain handling

Could you please describe what we need to change in order to upgrade to V6 including some examples?

Justification:
At least for me it is not entirely clear what I need to do, when the release notes only state improved toolchain handling. At least 1 or 2 examples would be nice.
