Save state/ .sav file does not load

I have set custom path to my .sav and save states on google drive - I often switch between different PC so I use it to sync (and archive) saves & ROMS.
Recently I started replaying Dragonball Legacy of Goku II and it did not save on in game save points but the save states worked. I thought this was weird bug but not game breaking since I would use save states instead of in game save.

I started game on PC1 then had to switch for a week to PC2. This week I am using PC1 again and the save states do not load (notiication 'state 1 failed to load') Instead of using quick load I opened save state loading menu and the state exists (see picture attached) but it still wont load on both PCs.

I use mGBA 0.10.5
Confirmed in settings for both PCs that the path is correct,
confirmed that connection to google drive is stable and that save state exists in said path

saves from other games (played before replaying legacy of goku 2) work fine, I can even load archived ones from few years ago.

I believe your google drive is set up for streaming instead of synchronising/mirroring, under the streaming scheme a file will only be downloaded in full once accessed by the Shell (via a notification from the drive shell extension)

The Streaming config should work with File > Load state file, as it invokes the shell mechanism to stream the file, but the quick load ui doesn't invoke it so it attempts to read file system object created by google drive and rightly so throws the failed to load error. (I see it didn't work with the file picker method in your case, so perhaps Qt's file picker doesn't trigger the stream notifier)

Switching to the mirroring scheme should fix both the battery and quick load error.
