How to use vuefire in composables?

My current try throws errors as the app is not initialized.

const user = useCurrentUser()

export const logUser = () => {
    console.log(user.value)
 }
// ERROR:  Firebase app not initialized use initializeApp()

Manual initialization:

import { initializeApp } from "firebase/app";
const config = useRuntimeConfig()
initializeApp(config.public.vuefire.config)

const user = useCurrentUser()

export const logUser = () => {
    console.log(user.value)
 }
// ERROR:  useCurrentUser() called before the VueFireAuth module was added to the VueFire plugin.

I guess the following is possible but that's just terribly repetitive to have to decalare user, db, storage in every function separately.

export const setUserProfileImage = () => {
    const db = useFirestore() 
    const user = useCurrentUser()
    const storage = useFirebaseStorage()
    console.log(user.value)
 }
// ERROR:  useCurrentUser() called before the VueFireAuth module was added to the VueFire plugin.

What's the proper way to do this?
